Good-by Tiger Cried. Hello ____?

We’re jumping into the deep end of the pool. For several years, our Tiger Cried Hot Sauce has enjoyed great popularity—first by hungry guests in our restaurants and later among Kansas City residents who eagerly snapped it off grocery store shelves. Now it’s time to stretch some more. We’re going national.

As you’d expect, there’s quite a lot of work to take a local brand and make it available nationally. Each day uncovers details we’ve never had to consider. Last week, we uncovered a doozy. We’ll have to change our name if we ever have hopes of sharing our scrumptious sauce outside of the Kansas City region. Why? Too many tigers are out there.

Name our sauce and cheer for the Royals!

Our temporary identity crisis creates the opportunity to re-imagine the name and marketing of our beloved fiery sauce. We would love to hear your ideas. In fact, if we select your name for our sauce we’ll happily reward you with 2 tickets to the Kansas City Royals vs. Detroit Tigers in April. You’ll also get the immense satisfaction of knowing the best hot sauce in America was named by you.

Here’s the details on the tickets:

  • Kansas City Royals vs. Detroit Tigers
  • Your choice of date: April 19, 20, or 21
  • 2 seats in the Dugout Box area
  • $20 to cover cost of food, beverages or retail at the game
  • Parking pass included

Feeling inspired? Share your name ideas on our Facebook page now through Friday, March 4. If we choose your name idea, you’ll get the tickets!

Thank you for your suggestion. We’ll need to stay away from the use of the word “Tiger” since there are already at least 2 other trademarked hot sauces with the word “Tiger” in the name. Do you have any other ideas?
